Breaking: Moses Cleopas Wins Bayelsa Central Senatorial Bye-Election

Moses Cleopas of the Peoples Democratic Party and candidate in the Bayelsa Central Senatorial bye-elections has been declared winner of the Byr Election  to the Bayelesa Central Senatorial District.

He won with a vote tally of 120,019 to defeat Abel Ebifemowei of the All Progressives Congress who rallied 18,947 votes coming second.

The Bayelsa West and Central Senatorisl Districts became vacant when Senators Douye Diri and Lawrence Evhrudjakpo of the PDP won their party ticket to run as Governor and Deputy Governor which they won and have since been sworn in.
