Prominent journalist and former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Bayelsa State, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, has told the Network that he intends to make the people the focus of his activities if elected to represent the Ogbia Federal Constituency in 2023.

Iworiso Markson spoke after collecting the People’s Democratic Party expression of interest and nomination form for the contest for the House of Representatives.

He promised to ensure a holistic implementation of this manifesto designed to touch the people in the critical areas of unity, education, empowerment, and others if elected to represent the Ogbia Federal Constituency in 2023.

Iworiso-Markson who enjoys amazing popularity and acceptability among his people and indeed the youth populace and leaders in Bayelsa said that he remains the best candidate for the position in the next election.

Iworiso-Markson said that he has presented his expression of interest and nomination forms to the people of Ogbia Kingdom and received an inspiring encouragement from his people.

He said that he had to take the decision to join the forthcoming electoral contest in pursuit of his desire for effective representation at the National Assembly by leveraging his experience, network, exposure and connections.

The six pillars of his manifesto are focused on the bond of unity, education, empowerment, special status for Ogbia, Oloibiri oil museum, a UNESCO heritage site, and effective communication.

He said that the procurement of the form was another step in his quest to provide effective representation at the National Assembly by leveraging his experience, network, exposure and connections.

Iworiso-Markson said that his manifesto is in alignment with his strategic plan to give his people the ideal representation they truly deserve.

According to him, the manifesto was painstakingly designed to reflect his burning desire to attract development to his people while working with the leadership snd stakeholders in the PDP.

“Having picked the form, I decided to bring it back home to present to our leaders and stakeholders who are pivotal to my desire to proceed to the Green Chambers. It is another very significant day in my quest to offer myself to represent Ogbia people.

“It also signifies a major step in the realisation of the New Deal agenda which we have mapped out. The focus of the agenda is to make stronger the bond of unity in Ogbia, to provide workable partnerships that will guarantee quality education for our children, empower our youths and women in critical skills that will make them employers of labour.”

Iworiso-Markson who was a Deputy Director, of the Media Committee during the election of Senator Douye Diri, vowed to repeat the efforts for the reelection of Senator Douye Diri who he
said deserves a second term in office.
