Edo 2024: PDP Declares Campaign Officially Closed, Thanks Members, Supporters

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially declared campaign activities for the September 21 governorship election closed in accordance with Electoral Laws.

PDP in a statement on Thursday morning in Benin City signed by Rev Olu Martins, Deputy Director General, Media and Publicity and made available to newsmen states that: “We would like to inform the general public that the current campaigns have been officially concluded by the PDP and consequently directed that no activity in this regard should exceed September 19, 2023, at 23:59 PM, tonight.

“After this time, any publications, advertisements, jingles, or any other promotional materials made in respect of the subject matter does not have the blessing, endorsement or authorization of the
PDP in Edo State nor any of its constituted committees for the purpose of the September 21st elections.

Please be advised, therefore, that Edo State PDP will not be liable nor held responsible for any consequences arising from any further campaign or promotional activities or communications conducted after the campaign’s official closes on the said date and time.

“The Party appreciates all efforts by all and sundry to drive the message of its candidate , Dr Asue Ighodalo: ‘The Pathway To Prosperity For All’. The PDP wishes to express its gratitude for all the immense support and participation throughout the campaign period”.
