The Nigerian Super Eagles have landed in Nigeria from Libya after a harrowing experience in the North African country

Recall that the Super Eagles left Libya on Monday afternoon after being stranded at the Al-Abraq Airport for over 15 hours.

They had traveled to play the second leg match of the AFCON qualifier against their Mediterranean Knights of Libya scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 15.

However, the team eventually pulled out of the clash after citing safety issues and hostile reception from the Libyan authorities.

The Nigerian team landed at the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano at past 5pm on Monday evening where they are expected to refuel their chartered airline before connecting Abuja.

This was confirmed in a video post made by a Journalist Micheal Obasino on Monday evening.

The caption on the video reads; “@NGSuperEagles just landed in Kano from the Libyan donjourn after the last 24 hours of hell in Al Abraq Airport. The team will now head to Abuja after they finish refueling in Kano.

Thankyou Lord”
