The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), has announced the date for its Annual General Meeting and Board Elections 2025. The elections that comes up every 4 years is designed to usher in a new Board that will manage the affairs of Cricket development in Nigeria.
A press statement signed by Mr. Musa Ehizoje Bodie, NCF’s Public Relations/Business Development Manager on September 10, 2025 said that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) which will vote in the NCF Board in line with the approved constitution of the NCF has been scheduled to take place on the 20th of September, 2025 in Abuja.
The statement added that the Dates, Guidelines and Timelines for the Elections were approved at the last NCF Board Meeting that was held on the 23rd of August 2025 in Lagos and that in line with the approved constitution of the NCF, an independent electoral committee was formed and approved by the Board, saddled with the responsibility to oversee the entire election process and announce results accordingly.
“The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) is pleased to inform all stake holders and the general public that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Federation which will vote in the elections into the NCF Board in line with the approved constitution of the NCF has been scheduled to take place on the *20th of September 2025* in Abuja.
“At the last NCF Board Meeting that was held on the *23rd of August 2025* in Lagos, the Board approved the Dates, Guidelines and Timelines for the Elections. As prescribed in the approved constitution of the NCF, an independent electoral committee was formed and approved by the Board, saddled with the responsibility to oversee the entire election process and announce results accordingly.
“As it is customary over the years, the General Assembly will have her annual meeting to review and discuss the Federation’s activities of the previous year and also chart new strategies for the coming year. After the meeting, the elections for the President, Vice President and Zonal Representatives into the Board will take place.
“Preceding the Annual General Meeting, the elections of the Athletes and Technical Representatives will take place on the *19th of September 2025* in Abuja. Elected members of other constituencies that have already concluded their elections such as the National Association of Women in Sports (NAWIS), Nigeria Association of Physical and Health Education, Recreation Sports and Dance NAPHER-SD will also form the composition of the board and be eligible to vote during AGM elections.
