The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), will hold its 81st Annual General Assembly in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, will declare the assembly open at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, opposite the University College Hospital, Orita-Mefa.
Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko; Director General of the NSC, Hon. Bukola Olopade; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Abdul Ningi; Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Sports, Hon. Kabiru Amadu and; former NFF President and former FIFA and CAF Member, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick, are among dignitaries expected at the occasion.
Former NFF 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi and; former NFF General Secretaries, Ambassador Fanny Amun and Dr Bolaji Ojo-Oba, are among prominent persons that have also been invited.
The Annual General Assembly of the NFF congregates all Chairmen and Secretaries of Football Associations of the 36 States and the FCT, with all Members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management in attendance, as well as chairmen and secretaries of the various Leagues, the Coaches Association, the Referees Association, and the Players’ Union.
NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) will present a welcome address to the plenary before the business session, just as the General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi will present an activity report of the secretariat. During the business session, there will also be presentation of the consolidated and revised balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement; approval of the financial statements; approval of the budget for the coming year; admission for membership (if applicable); votes on proposals for amendments to the Statutes, the regulations governing the standing order of the Statutes, and the Standing Orders of the General Assembly.
The General Assembly will discuss any proposal submitted by the Members and the Executive Committee; appoint an Independent Auditor, dismiss a person or a body (if applicable) and; discuss any further items submitted by the Members or the NFF Executive Committee.
