A Cybersecurity expert and prominent youth leader, Olakunle Akinboyo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Okitipupa Constituency One seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Akinboyo, in his declaration statement made available to the press, said his ambition is driven by an unshakable conviction to restore purposeful leadership and deliver quality representation to the people of Okitipupa.

According to him, leadership should be viewed as a sacred responsibility rather than a mere title, emphasizing that only individuals with vision, competence, and integrity should be entrusted with the mandate of the people.

“I stand today with firm conviction that I am the best candidate to represent Okitipupa Constituency One in 2027. Leadership is not a title; it is a call to serve with knowledge, vision, and integrity,” he said.

The aspirant noted that he has the academic background, professional experience, and moral strength required to deliver on the expectations of his people, stressing that Okitipupa must no longer settle for mediocrity in political representation.

“For too long, we have allowed the least prepared among us to speak for our people. That must change. Our constituency deserves a representative who is bold, articulate, and visionary — someone who will not just speak for the people but fight for them,” Akinboyo stated.

He pledged to prioritize education, youth empowerment, and community development if elected, adding that his ultimate goal is to position Okitipupa Constituency One as a beacon of progress within Ondo State and beyond.

“I am ready to raise the standard of representation. I will champion education, empower the youths, give voice to the voiceless, and ensure our constituency takes its rightful place in the political and developmental map of Ondo State and Nigeria,” he affirmed.

While expressing confidence in his chances, Akinboyo declared that his ambition is not just about contesting but about winning for the collective good of his people.

“Come 2027, I will not just contest; I will contest to win. And when I win, Okitipupa wins,” he concluded.

Political watchers have described Akinboyo’s declaration as a bold move that signals a new dawn in the political landscape of Okitipupa, with expectations high that his entry could redefine the tone of representation in the area.
