The South-South Governors Forum (SSGF) have sent a message of felicitation to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, who they described as one of “one of our own and Brother-Governor” on his 63rd birthday.
A press release signed by the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri today, June 19, 2026 said , the South South Governor’s Forum, SSGF joins the good people of Delta State and well-wishers to celebrate an outstanding leader and a dedicated public servant.
“Your Excellency, your transition from the longest-serving Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly to becoming Governor testifies to your unwavering commitment to the ideals of democracy and visionary leadership.
“Through your M.O.R.E Agenda model, you continue to break new grounds in infrastructure development, security of lives and property, social welfare, and in ensuring that Delta becomes more prosperous and united.
The statement added that, Oborevwori’s dedication to the peace and progress of Delta State and the Niger Delta Region remains a profound inspiration.
