Senator Henry Seriake Dickson has confirmed that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has successfully uploaded the name of its vice presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal for the 2027 general election.
Dickson disclosed this after visiting and holding discussions with Kwankwaso, whom he described as the party’s vice presidential candidate. According to him, the meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of the party’s preparations and ongoing political consultations.
He said Kwankwaso briefed him on what he described as positive developments from his engagements with stakeholders across the North-West, noting that the consultations had yielded encouraging outcomes for the party.

Dickson also revealed that Kwankwaso informed him he had concluded his deposition, adding that they confirmed the successful upload of his name on the INEC portal as the NDC’s vice presidential candidate.
Expressing optimism about the party’s readiness for the 2027 presidential election, Dickson said the NDC remains focused and unwavering in its commitment to achieving its political objectives.
“We remain on course and steadfast in our commitment to the mission ahead,” he said, while reaffirming his support for the party and expressing confidence in Nigeria’s democratic process.
