Prince T. M. Ugbodaga made donations of food items and other material palliatives with cash to the people of Uneme Anegbette and Udochi Communities today in what has now turned his ‘monthly routine’, to cushion the effects of the recent flood menace that befell the people of the communities recently. The Prince of Anegbette and Aiwan communities respectively of both Etsako Central and West LGA has always been there for his people at all times, salvaging them from all sorts of challenges whenever the need arises.
The Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from Edo North Senatorial Zone of Edo State who played a key role in the successful re-election of Gorvernor Godwin Obaseki and Philip Shaibu in the recently held governorship elections in September 19, was the only individual who sent relief materials to various communities in Etsako Central LGA during the heat of the Novel Corona Virus pandemic.
Reacting to questions from newsmen at his Country Home in Anegbette this morning while giving out the materials which included yams, rice, beans, tin tomatoes, cash and several other things, noted that, “it is not the man who has more than enough that gives. Giving is an innate rare trait. Very few people have it”. He continued, “of what benefit and joy would it be to a man seeing his people in need and himself has excess and won’t give?”
While thanking and appreciating Prince T.M. Ugbodaga, Mr. Seghosimeh Akubor who is the Ward 9 Chairman of PDP said, “if we have two people of T.M. Ugbodaga in Anegbette and Udochi, these communities would turn to little London and would be reference points for neighboring communities around us”. Akubor said since his birth and being an indigene of Uneme Anegbette, he has not seen a human with the kind of heart the Prince has. In his words, “I can only pray to God to continue to grant him good health and happiness all through his life on earth”.
On his part, Mr. Emma Okolo, National President; Anegbette Development Association (ADA), thanked Prince T.M. Ugbodaga for his unmatched philanthropic gestures and magnanimity towards not just the people of Anegbette but anyone who has ever crossed paths with him. Okolo stated unequivocally that, “I have never been surprised by the benevolence of Prince TM Ugbodaga. He has always distinguished himself as a Prince of Anegbette in all aspects of life. We pray for long life and prosperity for him and his entire households”.
Reassuring his people that it is his joy seeing them happy, Prince Ugbodaga thanked them for always showing him love and told them, “it is my indescribable joy seeing all of you around me anytime I am in the community. It shows me how loved I am by you all. I am not the richest in this community but you all have shown me the kind of love no one else enjoys in the whole of Anegbette. And I am very grateful for it.”.
He concluded by letting them know that, as far as God remains on the throne, he will always be there for them, come rain and sun.
