The governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Great Ogboru, “The People’s General”, and the Delta Central Senatorial hopeful and frontrunner, Mr. Peters Omaruaye, and other dignities celebrated Dr. Alex Tosan Ideh, at 70. The ceremony took place at the residence of Dr. Ideh in Koko, Warri North local government area, Delta State, on Saturday 10th of December, 2022. Other attendees included previous governor’s Chief James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduagha.
Dr. Alex Ideh is an elder statesman and a former commissioner in Delta state who has contributed meaningfully to the development of the state.
Speaking during the ceremony Chief Ogboru described Dr. Ideh as a statesman who played a crucial role in advancing the progress of Delta State. As commissioner, his achievements set a benchmark for others to follow.
The senatorial hopeful and frontrunner for the Delta Central SenatorialDistrict, Mr. Peters Omaruaye, in his remarks noted that Dr. Ideh’s contribution to Delta State extended far beyond his age. As commissioner, Dr. Alex Ideh offered his intelligence, energy, and devotion to the duty of putting the State in the right direction. “We Deltans owe him a debt of gratitude for that service”.
He concluded that as Dr. Ideh celebrates “70 today, we remain dedicated to Delta State, and we will continue to honour him as a true Delta State political legend, and one who has demonstrated extraordinary service to our State and Nigeria In general”.
