Lil Durk and Dej Loaf serenade one another on “My Beyoncé”.
Last month, Lil Durk basically confirmed the rumors that he and Detroit rapper Dej Loaf were an item, and the alleged couple’s new single “My Beyoncé” is either a sincere declaration or a publicity stunt, but either way it’s a hit. Durk is underrated as a singer, so it’s great to hear him in full R&B-mode here, supplying a syrup-y hook that is sure to inspire hashtags throughout cuffing season (which we’re pretty sure officially kicked off with this song).
Dej comes through with a similarly melodic 16, as she addresses the relationship rumors head on — “Durk and Dej, I’m thinking about changing my last name”. The track will appear on Durk’s upcoming mixtape 300 Days 300 Nights.
