The much-anticipated Babagana Kalli (Ozogla) FA Cup has finally kicked off in Maiduguri, Borno State, with matches played at seven different locations across the state.
The tournament, which began on Friday, saw a total of 28 teams participate in the inaugural matches, held at Dalori, London Ciki, Shehuri, Ramat Square, Baga Road, 777 Housing Estate and ….
Stakeholders from the communities where the matches were held expressed their joy and support for the competition.
They described it as a symbol of unity that brings together youths from different parts of the state.
They thanked the organizers of the tournament and prayed for a successful and injury-free competition.
The Babagana Kalli FA Cup is expected to promote football development, youth engagement, and community cohesion in Borno State.
