Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statewide broadcast on Friday, Fintiri said the move was aimed at advancing the developmental agenda and interests of the people of Adamawa State.
He explained that the action was taken to promote the development of the people of Adamawa State.
