Aliko Dangote has officially announced the commencement of petrol production at the Dangote Refinery.
In a press conference monitored on Arise Television, he expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for permitting the sale of crude oil in Naira.
The Lagos-based Dangote Refinery which has started processing premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol will make the first time a refinery will be processing petrol in Nigeria in 28 years.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) will become the initial exclusive buyer of its products according to reports.
Dangote presented the first sample of the petrol to press.
