Chief Henry Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and immediate past governor of Bayelsa State has defeated Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by a very huge margin.
In the election conducted on Saturday 5th December, 2020, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Ex governor Seriake Dickson of the PDP winner with a total vote count of 115,257 against the votes of Peremobowei Ebebi who got a mere 17,500.
With this victory, Ex governor Dickson will be returning to a familiar territory as he came from the House of Representatives to win the governorship election in 2012.
