Buratai bags another Icon of Integrity Award

Former Chief of Army Staff, His Excellency Ambassador (Lt. Gen. Rtd) Tukur Yusufu Buratai CFR Garkuwan Keffi, has again bagged another Award of Excellence, an icon of integrity award by the Zero Tolerance for Corruption Association.

The ICON OF INTEGRITY Award, which was conferred on the former COAS in Kaduna, was informed by his relentless commitment to the service of humanity, before, during and even after his tenure as the Chief of Army Staff.

According to the leader of the Association Aminu Abbas Jalingo “we also selected him for the Award following his track record of service and the way he handled his office with transparency and accountability and Job creation in our society.

“We believe job creation is one of the ways to curtail the rate of unemployment in our country. We wish this award Will serve as a token of encouragement and motivation Sir, Congratulations once more” he said.

In his acceptance speech, General Buratai said, It has not been easy dealing with corruption in the land, but the commitment has been sustained and successes are being achieved.

“We are happy President Muhmadu Buhari included anti corruption in his campaign promises and he is living up to expection and keeping to his promises. He has fought corruption thoroughly in his Administration, you can see the numbers and quantum, in terms of the convictions and forfeitures!.

“I urge you to introduce your program in primary schools in order to induct people from teen ages because this is a right step and a step forward in the right direction, particularly in recognizing who ever has done wonderful in the fight against corruption.

” I sincerely appreciate you for this recognition and to inform you that this will further spur me to do more and become more committed to fighting this societal scourge, now and always. God bless you all” he said.
