The Cricket Club Abuja ( CCA ) last Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the CCA Cricket Oval, Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja organized a friendly Game of Cricket in honor of its member, Mr. Sujeendra Prasad who is proceeding on a job transfer from Abuja to Lagos.
The game between the CCA PANTHERS and the CCA TIGERS was full of exciting moments and thrilling performances by players on both sides.
At the end of the game, the CCA Panthers scored 138 Runs in 20 Overs for the loss of 5 Wickets in the first inning. The CCA Tigers came in in the second inning to score 139 Runs for the loss of 4 Wickets in 18.2 Overs. This, the CCA Tigers won by 6 Wickets at full score.
Speaking to Crossfire Reports, Amith Sabastian, Captain of the CCA said
Sujeendra Prasad, who has been a CCA member from 2021, will be playing his last match at CCA today.
He added that the opening batsman, wicket keeper, and a handy off spinner has always been a top contributor for all CCA activities for the past 4 seasons.
“His last innings showed of 20 of 20 balls showed how he has been a top class Batsman for CCA, his shots on the leg side will be missed dearly by his friends hear at CCA.
I’m a statement on the CCA WhatsApp Group, Sujeendra Prasad said he was filled with a mix of emotions – gratitude, nostalgia, and excitement for the future. He said his job relocation to Lagos marks the beginning of a new chapter in his life, and he is thrilled to embark on this journey.

The Cricket Club Abuja was formed in 2006 having been registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with Cricket Lovers in Abuja given an opportunity to enjoy the gentleman’s game every Sunday till date.
Past Presidents of the Club include Dipo Idowu, Emeka Onyema, Oludare Aimola and Reji George. Also Olidare Aimola is back for another season as President. Membership of the Club is by subscription.
