Ex-Oyo NURTW Chair, Alh Mukaila Auxiliary, collapses during court proceeding

Former Oyo State NURTW Chairman, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, aka Auxiliary, collapsed in court today during his trial. He was awaiting the call of his case when he suddenly slumped, causing panic in the courtroom.

Auxiliary is facing 17 counts, including armed robbery, murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of firearms, related to incidents on May 29, 2023, near Governor Seyi Makinde’s residence .

The court session was immediately adjourned, and Auxiliary was taken to the Agodi Correctional Centre clinic for medical attention.

His condition and the court’s next steps are unclear.
