Describing the central Government headed by Prime Minister Narendera Modi as “ Good Governance” former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) topper, Dr. Shah Faesal said that India is assuming global leadership as a Jagat Guru.

He also put on his twitter handle the video of PM’s interaction with COVID-19 vaccination beneficiaries in Kashi.

Shah Faesal, who is a medical doctor, said the vaccination started in the country was more than just a vaccination programme.

It is good governance, human capital formation, nation building and India assuming global leadership as a Jagat Guru, he said.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter former IAS topper said, “This is more than just a vaccination program. It’s good governance + human capital formation + nation building + India assuming global leadership as a Jagat Guru’.

Shah Faesal hit the headlines when he topped IAS in 2009. However, he resigned as an IAS officer and formed his own political party “ Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement” in May last year. He was arrested at Delhi airport when he was leaving the country after he opposed abrogation of Article 370, 35 A and division of the state into two Union Territories (UTs) on August 5 last year. He was released from detention after several months. Later he served his links with JKPM and remained inactive. However, this tweet praising Modi government has surprised many in Kashmir.

According to Wikipedia, Shah Faesal is a former Indian politician and bureaucrat from Jammu and Kashmir. In 2009, he became the first Kashmiri to place first in the Indian Civil Services Examination. He resigned from the Indian bureaucracy in protest on 9 January 2019, citing “unabated killings” in Kashmir among other things.
