Former IGP, Solomon Arase

The former Inspector General of Police (IGP)  and former Chairman of Nigerian Police Service Commission, Solomon Arase dies at 69 years at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja.

He served as the 18th Inspector General of Police, from April 2015 until his mandatory retirement on June 21, 2016.

Following his retirement, he was appointed Chairman of the Nigeria Police Service Commission in January 2023, a position he held until being removed by President Tinubu in June 2024.
