The Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association (GCUOBA) entry class of 1976 is poised to join one of it’s own, Engr. Obiajulu Clement Emina in Ebu, Oshimili North Local Governmemt Area of Delta State to give his beloved mother a befitting burial on Friday, 2nd June, 2023.

Speaking to Crossfire Reports, the Class President, Elder Sunday Okpare said the Class of ’76 will make a strong presence at the burial ceremony in Ebu.

He said close to 20 members will be attending from Warri amongst other classmates who will come from across the country.

Mrs Catherine Omenebele Emina, the mother of Obiajulu Clement Emina, lived a great life up to the very ripe old age of 95.

Born on January 7th, 1928, she died on the 20th of April, 2023.

She was a mother of hosts, with open arms and a warm embrace for humanity. This is expected when you have a son like Obi who from early primary school years had started socializing and built a wide and strong network of friends.

So, Mrs Emina operated an open door policy and her house became home to many. According to a bossom friend of Obi, Mr. JB Aganbi, “we will miss “mama” very dearly. May the Lord grant her soul eternal repose.”

According to the burial arrangements announced by the family, there was a Service of Songs at Holy Family Catholic Church, Edjeba, Warri on 30th May, 2023 at 4 pm.

On Friday, 2nd June, 2023 at 10.30 am, there will be a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Ebu, Delta.

Reception will follow immediately at St. Paul’s Grammar School, opposite General Hospital, Ebu, Oshimili North LGA, Delta State.
