Gov Tambuwal  Commissions Command Guest House, CIMIC Intervention Projects In Sokoto At COAS’ Annual Conference

The Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Rt Honourable Aminu Tambuwal has yesterday, Tuesday 6 December 2022 commissioned Command Guest House, Sokoto as part of NA’s Intervention Projects lined up for the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2022.

Performing the commisioning Ceremony, Governor Tambuwal stated that the edifice will provide affordable lodging for both local and foreign investors, as well as provide employment opportunities in the hospitality industry for youths, adding that it will shore up business potentials in the state.

He expressed optimism that the Guest House will continue to grow under the direction and leadership of the COAS. Gov Tambuwal appreciated the Nigerian Army (NA)for her untiring efforts in the protection of the territorial integrity of Nigeria, particularly the increasing return of peace in the North West region.

Other Intervention Projects commissioned today are the remodelled Government Girls Arabic Secondary School at Emir Yahaya, Constructed and reinforced Drainage System at Sifawa, renovated Malam Salisu Nizamiya Primary and Secondary Schools in Sifawa, Completed International Conference Centre Mosque, renovated 32 Classrooms at Tangaza and Overhead Water Tanks at Community Water Point in Sifawa, Donation of books and medical equipment were also made to schools and Primary Health care centre respectively. Medical outreaches for the less privileged, were also conducted across Sokoto State, among others.

 

Making his remarks at the event, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya stated that the CIMIC Intervention Projects across the state were part of the NA’s non- kinetic operations aimed at giving back to the community in the spirit of winning the hearts and minds of Nigerians.
