Weeks into the campaign season, Peters Omaruaye, the APGA Senatorial candidate for the Delta Central seat has garnered an impressive coalition of ‘Deltans’ who have vowed to move away from the mistakes of the past. Mistakes that led to ineffectual candidates being elected into sensitive offices, where upon getting in, their conduct or lack thereof, has resulted in grave consequences that directly impact upon the lives of the people of the district.

These groups whom the candidate has met with during campaign swings through the central district over the last several weeks, a sort of ‘coalition of the willing’, include political leaders, stakeholders in various social organizations, youth organizations, social and political bodies, and most importantly members of the public whom we collectively understand to represent the ‘grass roots’ of our various communities.

In a resounding voice, to the last, each one of these groups and individuals have promised to mobilize the electorate to vote for APGA and for Mr. Peters Omaruaye, the candidate for Delta central Senatorial District seat in the forthcoming polls

Through several campaign swings across the district in the last several weeks, in Warri, Uvwie, Sapele and Okpe, Omaruaye has received the enthusiastic backing of vibrant groups.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Independent Workers Association (ONTIWA) was one such groups that vowed its enthusiastic support for Omaruaye. Describing Mr. Peters Omaruaye as a Man of Character, several members of the group eulogized him as a vibrant candidate who has shown his mantle in the business world. Several testified that they had patronized his business in the past, noting that if he brought to government the same zeal and vision he has shown in the manufacture of his quality blocks and pavers, then surely he would be successful as a senator.

At Sapele, Jesse, Okpe, Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli, and Abraka, the message has remained consistent. From the candidate, there is certainty that a new dawn awaits! The transition away from the politics of selfishness and favoritism has begun; “The politics of the people is unfolding before us!”. The Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) system guarantees the votes of the electorate would count this time around.

From the people too, the ‘grass roots’, the message has remained consistent: “This time the people’s choice will prevail. There is no doubt of what you (Omaruaye) can do to advance the Delta central Senatorial District if the baton is handed to you.
