Dogara said: “His death is a major setback for the APC family but as people of faith we cannot question the work of the Almighty God who gives life and only Him can take it away.

“Prince Audu was a dogged fighter, grassroot mobiliser, leader and politician par excellence whose influence trancends the frontiers of Kogi state.

“I pray Almighty God to grant his family and all his supporters the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

Late Abubakar Audu, died on Sunday, November 22 and is set to be buried in his home town, Ogbonicha in Ofu local government area of the state.

While some sources reported that Prince Audu died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared his victory at the elections inconclusive, others reported that Audu died in a rather mysterious manner as relatives said he was vomiting blood prior to the announcement of the election results which was held the previous day.

However, Governor Idris Wada the PDP governoship candidate has already led the state’s delegation to the former governor’s burial as at the time this report was prepared.

Wada, was the losing contestant in the election which the INEC declared inconclusive in the state.
