Popular Human Rights Activist and Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has issued free legal advice to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Oduaghan who has accused the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio for Sexual Harrasment a situation that has created two camps, one led by Senator Natasha and the other led by Akpabio’s wife.
Senator Natasha Akpoti was suspended for six months by the senate as announced by Senate President, Godswill Akpabio earlier today, for her total violation of the Senate Standing Rules (2023 as amended for bringing the presiding officer and the entire Nigerian Senate to public opprobrium,”
In a press release today, March 6, 2025, Deji Adeyanju gave a three-point advice to Senator Natasha Uduaghan’s lawyers as follows:
FREE LEGAL ADVISORY TO SENATOR NATASHA’S LAWYERS BY DEJI ADEYANJU:
1. Natasha should go back to court to claim that notwithstanding the interim 72hr injunction by the court against the committee on ethics and the senate, it still went ahead to sit and recommend bet suspension which the senate accepted.
2. The court will rule against the senate and return her to the chambers.
3. She will claim a moral victory against the SP and senate and return to resubmit her petition now signed by people from her senatorial district.
