The Ijaw National Conference (INC), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike to order and ask him to apologize to the leaders of Ijaw people as well the entire people of Ijaw land.
An INC press statement sighted by Crossfire Reports it has become a routine activity for Wike to continuously undermine the Ijaw leaders. The statement issued today, March 12, 2025 said that INC has watched over the years how Wike has shown disrespect and disdain to Ijaw leaders.
For instance, it said his remarks during his media chat as regards PANDEF is despicable. It queried how Wike can insult those that are old enough to father him, noting that some of these people were already established and successful before Wike left law school.

It has become a routine activity for Wike to continuously undermine the Ijaw leaders.
We have watched over the years how Wike has shown disrespect and disdain to our leaders.
For instance, his remarks during his media chat as regards PANDEF is despicable. How can Wike insult those that are old enough to father him.Some of these people were already established and successful before Wike left law school.
It is true that in his character, he has no respect for anyone, but to insult a whole race is unimaginable.
We therefore, call on Mr President to call him to order and apologize to the leaders of Ijaw people as well the entire people of Ijaw land.
We as a people , have decided to exercise restraint as regards Wike, but that does not in any way mean that we are afraid of him. We can not continue to tolerate Wike ‘s naked dance in public .It is high time he stopped, as it has reached its peak.
Mr President, as the employer of Wike, speedily call him to order.
We, as a people have given you our tremendous support , and you will have to choose at this point between us as a people and Wike.
Mr President, it is clear that the choice is yours.
We are ready to continue to work with you, but will not hesitate to withdraw the support if you sit and watch your employee insult the entire Ijaw people.
Wike has continuously boasted that he has your support and he can do whatever he likes. We do not believe him . However, failure to withdraw his statement will prove that he truly enjoys your support.
We call on you, Mr President to intervene fast before we reach a decision as a people.
