It’s a time to time and be happy for Nigerian sensational singer, Wizkid wins big at the just concluded MTV MAMA awards 2016.
Nigerian superstar singer and Starboy Entertainment artiste Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known by his stage name, Wizkid, has big-time at the MTV Base MAMA awards 2016.
The afro beat singer won the Best Male Act. His latest success does not come as a surprise as the singer has had an amazing year after he was featured in Drake’s chart-topping hit, “One Dance”, and became the first Nigerian to be on the Billboard charts.
Wizkid has had quite a strong international presence since his “Ojuelegba remix” featured international acts like American rapper, Drake and English Grime artist, songwriter and record producer of Nigerian descent, Skepta, which broke the internet in 2015.
The best female act award went to Nigeria’s own Yemi Alade.
