At least one person was killed while several others were injured when Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents attacked Kidindila village in Askira Uba, Borno State, Zagazola learnt.

It was gathered that the insurgents raided the village yesterday, April 22, during a coronation and wedding events and began shooting sporadically.

A source said they came in two gun trucks and blocked the exit of the occasions and started shooting indiscriminately, forcing people to scamper for safety.

“They later killed one Vigilante, simply identified as Suleiman after they took him away. His body was later recovered”, said the sources.

The terrorists have recently intensified attacks on soft targets and recreation centers across Borno State resulting to many civilians casualties.
