JUST IN: SOLDIERS PREVENT ANOTHER ATTACK IN ABUJA SUBURB

Reports just coming in has it that, hard fighting soldiers of the Guards Brigade, Abuja have averted yet another attack on a community within the Federal Capital territory on Saturday.

A source who confided in an online publication, The Network, said that the terrorists stormed Chachi Village behind Zuma Rock, Kaduna Road at 1:44 PM on Saturday.

The source said that the terrorists stormed the community which is a few minutes away from the popular rock with the intent to abduct the inhabitants.

However, the soldiers who got wind of the invasion mobilized to Chachi to engage the terrorists who escaped into the bush.

Although the source did not give the casualty figure in the attack, it was said that the soldiers captured one of the terrorists.

The source said that the gun battle lasted three hours.

The attack is coming barely two days after soldiers of the Guards Brigade battled an invading band of terrorists at Zuma Rock, Madalla, Kaduna Road.

The terrorists attacked a military checkpoint, four poles away from Madallah at a location called Guaraka but the troops prevented them from penetrating the FCT.

According to The Network, it could not confirm the casualty in the brutal attack.
