FORMAL PETITION, DEMAND FOR INVESTIGATION, AND NOTICE OF CONSEQUENCES

RE: RIVERS STATE DESTABILISATION, FEDERAL INTERFERENCE, AND URGENT DEMAND FOR THE REMOVAL AND INVESTIGATION OF MR NYESOM WIKE

Mr President,

1. STATUS OF THIS LETTER

This is a formal petition and a written notice of serious national concern addressed to you as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I write as a concerned Nigerian citizen in the interest of peace, stability, constitutional order, and justice in Rivers State and the Niger Delta.

I do not belong to any political party.
I have no political ambition.
I have no ties to any Nigerian politician.
I am not writing on behalf of any political group.

I am writing because the current federal posture in Rivers State is dangerous, provocative, and unnecessary.

2. IDENTITY AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND OF THE PETITIONER

My name is Kio Amachree.

I was educated at Eton College, England, and later at the University of Pennsylvania, United States, where I studied at the Wharton School of Business.

I am a Political Scientist by profession, with a law background and extensive international business experience.

I have served as a Senior Executive at the American Corporate Headquarters of Philip Morris USA, and I have operated at senior professional level in international corporate environments.

I am currently the President of Worldview, a political science and global affairs platform, and also the President of SKJ Records Sweden, an established record label.

I am resident in Stockholm, Sweden.

I therefore write with professional competence, international exposure, and global networks. This is not a letter written in ignorance or emotion.

3. HISTORIC BACKGROUND — MY FAMILY AND THE FORMATION OF RIVERS STATE

My late father was Chief Godfrey Kio Jaja Amachree, QC, one of the most distinguished legal, political, and diplomatic figures Nigeria has ever produced.

My grandfather was Chief Sekin Amachree, a recognised Niger Delta freedom fighter who travelled to London in 1947 as part of the struggle for the constitutional dignity and political recognition of Rivers minorities.

These are historic facts.

4. ACHIEVEMENTS OF MY FATHER, CHIEF GODFREY KIO JAJA AMACHREE, QC

Mr President, the calibre of my father’s national service must be understood clearly.

My father:
• Was Nigeria’s first indigenous Solicitor-General of the Federation
• Served as Acting Attorney-General of Nigeria
• Served as an African Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, operating at senior diplomatic level in the Trusteeship and Non-Self-Governing Territories system
• Served as Special Representative to General Yakubu Gowon during the Civil War period, including sensitive engagement involving the United States in order to keep the Americans aligned with the Federal Government
• Played a central role in the creation of Rivers State, with the first operational offices run from his chambers at Western House, and with early development financed through his personal banking platform, Pan African Bank
• Played a key role in the era surrounding the historic Isaac Adaka Boro matter, a major national warning in Niger Delta political history
• Was the first Nigerian to secure an oil bloc, and was a pioneer of indigenous participation in Nigeria’s oil economy
• Was a pioneer of early aviation development, including the first air charter initiatives connected to Niger Delta development
• Served as the first Chairman of Nigeria’s football administration, and was a key national figure in sports leadership

This is not the record of an ordinary man. This is the record of a foundational Nigerian statesman.

5. THE PRESENT CRISIS — RIVERS STATE IS BEING DESTABILISED

Mr President, Rivers State is being pushed toward instability by federal conduct and political interference.

Rivers State is not Boko Haram territory.
Rivers State is not bandit territory.
Rivers State is not an insurgency theatre.

Yet Rivers people are being treated as though they are enemies of the state.

This is unacceptable.

The Niger Delta provides Nigeria with its economic lifeblood. Without the Niger Delta, Nigeria collapses. It is therefore reckless for Abuja to manufacture political crisis in Rivers State.

6. THE WIKE ISSUE — FORMAL DEMAND FOR REMOVAL AND INVESTIGATION

Mr President, I now address directly the most obvious destabilising factor.

Mr Nyesom Wike must be removed from federal office immediately and investigated.

This is a formal demand.

His continued presence in federal power is a destabilising influence in Rivers State and a serious national concern.

I hereby formally petition for the following actions:

(a) Immediate removal from office
Mr Wike should be removed from his federal position pending investigation.

(b) Anti-corruption investigation
I demand a full EFCC and ICPC investigation into allegations of corruption, diversion of public funds, abuse of office, and unexplained wealth.

(c) Asset and lifestyle audit
I demand a full audit and accountability regarding:
• His Rolls Royce and other luxury vehicles
• His properties abroad
• Any corporate proxies or fronts holding assets on his behalf
• Relevant banking and financial trails

The Nigerian public deserves to know the source of this wealth.

(d) Investigation into threats of violence
There exists a recording widely circulated in the public domain, including on TikTok and other platforms, alleged to show Mr Wike threatening to kill a political opponent.

This recording is everywhere.

I therefore demand that the Nigerian Police Force and DSS answer one question:

Why has Mr Wike not been arrested, interrogated, or formally investigated for alleged threats of murder when the recording is widely available?

Selective justice destroys nations.

7. SECURITY POSTURE — WRONG DEPLOYMENT OF FEDERAL POWER

Mr President, Nigeria’s security resources should be focused on genuine terror threats.

If federal troops and intelligence assets are needed, deploy them to:
• The North-East
• The North-West
• Terrorism and banditry theatres

Do not militarise Rivers State for political advantage.

Rivers State is a producing region, not an enemy zone.

8. JUSTICE DEMAND — MISS IBYAMI AMACHREE

I also demand justice for my cousin, Miss Ibyami Amachree, killed by a soldier described as a Northern soldier.

This matter must not be buried.

I demand:
• Identification of the soldier involved
• Identification of the unit and chain of command
• Release of investigative status
• Prosecution where evidence supports prosecution

A nation that permits impunity in uniform manufactures future instability.

9. NOTICE OF INTERNATIONAL ESCALATION IF IGNORED

Mr. President, let me be clear.

I am too well connected to be ignored.

If this letter is ignored, I will use lawful channels and international connections to escalate these concerns.

Nigeria’s reputation cannot withstand another Niger Delta crisis manufactured by arrogance, corruption tolerance, and political manipulation.

10. PERSONAL NOTE — YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH MY LATE MOTHER

Mr. President, I also remind you respectfully that you were a close friend of my late mother, Chief (Mrs) Nike Oluwole.

For her memory, and in honour of my father’s legacy, I would have preferred these issues to be resolved quietly and civilly.

However, the situation has gone too far.

Silence is no longer acceptable.

11. SUMMARY OF DEMANDS

Mr. President, I demand:
1. Immediate removal of Mr m. Nyesom Wike from federal office pending investigation
2. Full EFCC/ICPC investigation into his wealth, Rolls Royce, and properties abroad
3. Immediate investigation into the widely circulated recording allegedly containing threats of murder
4. Immediate end to federal destabilisation and political interference in Rivers State
5. Withdrawal or reduction of unnecessary federal troop posture in Rivers State
6. Redeployment of security resources to terrorism and banditry zones
7. Immediate action on the case of Miss Ibyami Amachree, including prosecution where evidence supports prosecution
8. A formal Niger Delta stability framework based on respect, jobs, and development

12. FINAL NOTICE

Mr President, do not ignore this letter.

The Niger Delta is not a colony.

Rivers State is not a pawn.

And the people of Rivers are not fools.

If the Federal Government continues to treat Rivers State with disrespect and political manipulation, then the Federal Government is inviting a crisis.

History has warned Nigeria before.

This matter must be addressed immediately.

Yours faithfully,

KIO AMACHREE
