The Ministry of Interior has announced a decisive step in its digital transformation agenda as it fully adopts electronic communication for all official engagements. This initiative is in line with the Digitalisation Reform Pillar of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 2025) and follows the directive of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation mandating all MDAs to transition to electronic communication and records management.

Effective 1st December, 2025, the Ministry will no longer accept manual submission of letters, mails, or any form of physical correspondence. All official documents and requests must be submitted electronically through the Ministry’s approved digital platforms.

The designated channels for electronic communication are:

Email Portal: Interior Correspondence Platform
interas.interior.gov.ng

Website Submission: Ministry of Interior Official Website: coming soon.
