The Nigeria army in a statement by Col. Sani Usman have revealed that a suspected female member of the Boko Haram have been captured in an operation to clear the insurgents’ camps in Borno.
He said two insurgents were killed in the encounter between the troops and the insurgents while some weapons were recovered from them.
“In efforts to continually dominate recovered territories and clear all Nigerian territory of Boko Haram vestiges, the advancing troops of fifth brigade task group have today cleared five more terrorists camps at Hausari and Baranga in Marte local government area of Borno state,” Usman said.
“The troops during and encounter with Boko Haram terrorists at the camps killed two terrorists and recovered two dane guns and a double barrel gun, while 12 motorcycles abandoned by some fleeing terrorists were destroyed. In addition, a suspected female member of the terrorists group was captured and is currently undergoing interrogation.” he added.
