Today, I received the Head of the European Union Delegation to Nigeria, Gautier Mignot, accompanied by Frederik Klinke, President of the European Business Chamber in Nigeria (EUROCHAM), on a courtesy visit to my office.

Our discussions centred on fostering deep collaboration, sharing innovative ideas, and ensuring that our immigration frameworks seamlessly support genuine international investments while safeguarding Nigeria’s national interests.

Nigeria is moving decisively away from slow, manual, and vulnerable legacy processes. We are building an automated, transparent network where foreign experts can manage their work permits directly, completely cutting out middlemen and unauthorised agents.

The Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is focused on ensuring that expert talent adds real, measurable value to the Nigerian economy, particularly through proper tax compliance.

By collaborating closely with the EU and EUROCHAM, we are meeting in the middle to create a balanced, world-class system that welcomes global expertise while firmly honouring the sovereignty and economic integrity of our dear nation.
