NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF URHOBO PROFFESSIONAL ORATORS ASSURE OMARUAYE OF SUPPORT

The senatorial ambition of Mr. Peters Omaruaye under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), received a boost on Thursday, 22nd of December 2022, as the executive of the National Association of Urhobo Professional Orators threw their weight behind his candidacy.

The assurance was given during Omaruaye’s solidarity visit to the group in the residence of Late Chief Prof. S.A Ofua, the first Urhobo founding father of urhobo Oratory in Oviore community, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking during the solidarity visit, Mr. Peters Omaruaye commended the group for receiving him and his entourage.

 

He said, “I am here today to let the group know of my ambition to run for Senate. As one of the Frontline groups promoting the urhobo culture around the world, I as a candidate contesting to represent the district at the red Chambers, deem it necessary for me to come and let you all know of my ambition”.

He said, “I have been in this politics since 2003 and since then I have been consistent, and in 2015 and 2019 I was the Director General of Labour Party and APC that produced Senator Agege as a Senator, I am a graduate so I am qualified to represent the district at the red Chambers. Omaruaye who was excited with the way he was received by the group, assured them of equity in his constituency projects among the eight LGAs that represent the Delta Central District when elected.

He further promised never to let the group down. He therefore lauded the group for being an epitome of what a support group should be.

Responding on behalf of the group, the Chairman and the Spokes person of the group Olorogun Joseph Efemena Aphia and Mr Emmanuel Adaboke respectively said the group had members cut across the senatorial district with their voter’s cards intact and would be voting en masse for Omaruaye and other candidates of APGA in the forth coming election.

The group agreed that Omaruaye had shown capacity and conviction to render selfless service to their people, having being doing so with his private business for years.

They further assured Omaruaye of their plans to visit the local government areas and the various wards that make up the Senatorial district to tell their people about him and his good records of excellence. “Today, we assure you that we are going to deliver you come 2023”, they concluded.
