NIGER DELTA GAMES 2026: CRICKET EXHIBITION MATCHES SET TO HOLD ON TUESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY, 2026

Cricket is set to feature at the Niger Delta Games 2026 with exhibition matches on Tuesday 24th Februay in Benin City.

The matches will kickoff by 9:00am on Tuesday at the High Performance Centre located at the Edo Boys High School (former Adolor College) Ugbowo, Benin City.

The Women will play in the T20 format while the Men will play 30 Overs. The games will feature only U19 Players.

The Nine (9) Niger Delta States: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, host State Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers will have their representatives in the Teams for the exhibition.

The Cricket event is supported by the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF).

The matches will give young Players a chance to show their skills and gain experience, as the NCF hopes to use the opportunity to scout for the best of U19 Players that would be invited to camp ahead of preparations for the upcoming U19 Women ana Men World Cup Qualifiers.
