Impressive Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin were held to a barren draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on the sixth week of the Nigeria Premier League Football.

This was against all expectations that the Benin Arsenals will extend their winning streak and scintillating performances since the kickoff of the Season in Uyo where they defeated former League champions, Akwa United 2-0 amid applauds from expectant fans.

The result keeps the Bendel Insurance in the driving seat with sixteen points from six games.

Meanwhile, the Bendel Insurance gained victory over El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri 1-0 on Wednesday to gain 15 points.

The Benin Arsenals are expected to engage in a 7th week battle with Shooting Stars FC at Ibadan on Sunday the 5th of February, 2023.

Insurance will also be having two home games before the end of the first stanza of the current football season. They are expected to host Nasarawa Utd and Enyimba FC of Aba in week eight and nine fixtures.

The Benin Arsenals have been outstanding in their performance, with victories against their opponents throughout the Season.

The week six game kicked off in Benin with both teams wearing Black Armbands and a minute of silence was observed in honour of the late Referee Dr. Kingsley Eneogwe who died in an accident on his way back home after officiating in the game between Nasarawa United Vs Plateau United on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation Austin Eguavoen and the Super Eagles Manager, Jose Peisero were both at the Stadium to witness the game.
