NUJ-FRCN Headquarters Celebrates member for winning Yahaya Bello Essay Competition

The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Headquarters Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ has expressed happiness over the emergence of one of its members as the overall winner of the Kogi State Governor’s essay competition on political and crime reporting.

In a Congratulatory statement, the Chapel Chairman, Comrade Tersoo Zamber says the victory is one of the many by members that have brought honour to the Union and the Corporation.

According to the statement, Comrade Agbenson’s inspiring essay on the “Challenges of Development in Kogi State” was adjudged the best entry by a team of assessors led by the head of Journalism Department, Lagos State University, Professor Tunde Akanni.

The statement further noted that the writing competition which had forty one entries from political, crime and business editors from various parts of the country, indicates it was a keenly contested exercise.

Concluding, Comrade Zamber urged other Governors to emulate their Kogi state counterpart, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for promoting essential reportage for national development.
