The Obidients Advocacy Group for Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barr. Osarodion Ogie paid a courtesy and awareness visit to Ekosodin Community of the University of Benin students residency at the early hours of today, Saturday, June 29, 2024.
The visit was led by the State Coordinator, Comrade Blessing Agho.
*A press statement signed by Oshioria Aigbedion, Media Officer of the Obidients Advocacy Group for Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie said during the discussion session, the indigenes decried the poor condition of their roads ravaged by incessant flooding.
They appealed to the State Government to kindly come to their aid in that regard while also appreciating Governor Godwin Obaseki for fixing the Ekosodin road, which has made them feel Government’s presence in their community.
*In her response, Comrade Blessing Agho thanked the Community for their warm reception towards her and the members of her group who came in their numbers to solicit for support. She further stressed that the Obidient movement is NOT a Political party, and doesn’t have any embryonic relationship with the Labour Party, that it was founded on Competence, Equity, Justice, and Fairness.
She further added that the movement is not ready to accept any below par candidate to be the next Governor of Edo State.
Concluding, she said she is not a member of any political party, but a keen advocate for Good Governance.
