On Friday, 18th of November 2022, The Ovie of Oruarive-Abraka Kingdom, HRH Akpomeyoma Majoroh, Ojeta 11 received Mr. Peters Omaruaye, the APGA senatorial candidate for the central district of Delta State. Alongside Mr. Omaruaye during the visit to his Royal Majesty, were Barrister Michael Ogboru, the APGA candidate for Ethiope federal constituency, Engr. John Omamuyovwi Otobrise for Ethiope East Constituency and Sir Clement Ikpere running for the Ughelli North Constituency seat, and other APGA Leaders in Delta State.

Following the visit to the Ovie of Oruarive-Abraka Kingdom, Omaruaye and his team proceeded to the palace of the Ovie of Agbarha-Otor, HRH Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorefe 1.

These visits by Peters Omaruaye and other Candidates for elected offices in the central district of Delta state were to pay homage and officially inform them of the Candidates intentions to be elected into office in the coming general elections.

Omaruaye, speaking for the group of candidates used the opportunity to tell the Royal Fathers about their desire to represent Delta Central at different constituency levels after the elections of 2023. He sought for prayers and blessings from the Royal Fathers, stating that the efficacy of these prayers cannot be over-emphasized.

Speaking at the Agbarha-Otor’s Palace, Omaruaye notes “I have come today to inform you that I am contesting for the Delta Central Senatorial seat, accompanied by my two Brothers who are also contesting in different constituencies within the Delta Central Senatorial District under the platform of APGA in the 2023 general election”, referring to Barrister Michael Ogboru and Sir Clement Ikpere running for Ughelli north constituency 1.

He went further emphasize the following: “Our leader and the Governorship Candidate is Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru who will also be here to seek your blessings in the very near future”. Omaruaye noted that as ‘new breed’ politicians, they have what it takes to represent the people based on equity, justice, and fair play.

Responding, His Royal Majesty Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle (Okorefe 1) prayed for the actualisation of Chief Great Ogboru as Governor of Delta State, and wished Peters Omaruaye and all the APGA candidates’ victory in the forth-coming elections with the mandate of the people to produce ‘real change’ after the 2023 elections.
