The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost another member of the House of Representatives, Jonathan Gbwefi, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his defection letter, the lawmaker, who represents Keffi/Karu/Kokona federal constituency of Nasarawa State, cited disunity in the state’s chapter of PDP for his defection.

The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, read the letter on the floor of the house.

Welcoming Gbwefi into the APC, the speaker specifically called out the minority leader of the house, Ndudi Elumelu, repeatedly in a dramatic manner during the brief defection ceremony.

The defection was witnessed by a delegation from Nasarawa led by the governor, Abdullahi Sule.
