…Omaruaye says installation of Ewherido, an honour to the entire Ewu people
Ewu community came agog yesterday, 11th of February, 2023, as a day of celebration, thanksgiving and testimonies in honour of an illustrious son of Ewu Kingdom, His Lordship, Most Rev. Anthony Ovayero Ewherido.
Family, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Warri who was installed a few months ago.
Among the dignitaries in Ewu to celebrate with the newly installed Bishop was the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), for Delta Central Senatorial District, Mr. Peters Omaruaye, accompanied by Ekorhi and others in attendance at the reception in honour of Rev. Fr. Anthony Ovayero Ewherido.
The senatorial hopeful described Ewherido as a pride to the Ewu people and that the honour bestowed on him is an honour bestowed on the entire Ewu kingdom. He said the ordination will bring a peaceful coexistence among Ewu sons and Daughters.
Mr. Omaruaye said he celebrates with the Catholic faithful worldwide, the family and all Ewu sons and daughters on this special occasion of elevation of service. He congratulated His Lordship who he referred to as his Elder brother and thanked the Almighty God for the grace to witness the historic day.
