The leadership of the Niger Delta People’s Salvation Front (NDPSF) has declared that there will be no retreat and no surrender in the on-going political crisis in Rivers State.

The foremost Niger Delta organization made it clear that the recent provocative actions and sponsored campaign of calumny by lackeys of a drowning and near dementia political actor in Rivers State, alongside the collaborative state and non-state actors whose virile cold war and long drawn rivalry against Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari would not be tolerated.

This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by Civicist Rex Emojite Anighoro, spokesperson of the group and made available to News Express.

The statement reads: “We will not succumb for speaking truth to power, exposing their maleficence and undercut dealings against the people of Niger Delta will fail and be drowned at the red Sea of People’s Power and citizens supremacy over the tyranny of Pharoah.

“We state in abiding faith that Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari will not succumb to hangups of state and non state actors fuelling conflicts in Rivers State and by extension the Niger Delta.

“All those aiding and abetting these undemocratic actors even calling for the arrest amongst others of Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari must tread carefully within the boundaries of the law and decency as their rights ends where his own rights begin.

“His right to hold opinion and express them, right to freedom from interference of privacy, home, family and correspondence, rights from arbitrary arrest, rights from state and personal interference of his entire fundamental human rights are well guaranteed, globally valid and if need be, will take every legal and all means necessary to protect them.

“Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, Rivers Citizens, Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta People will not surrender their democratic rights to agent provocateurs of anarchy and entrepreneurs of neo slavery as those brutal chefs cooking the meal of sorrow, tears and blood for Rivers citizens, Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta People must be ready to eat of their sordid cuisine.

“While Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari will continue to engage in lawful and legal endeavours in his advocacy for the respect of democratic rights of Rivers Citizens, Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta People, let it be known that he is never afraid of the macabre dance of the merchants of perfidy and death.

“He will never compromise his integrity to hold his independent convictions and speak truth to power even if means standing alone and sacrificing his personal gain on the altar of political correctness and subserviency, these are values he has lived for and prepared to die for and no putrefying morsel of porridge of Esau can change these eternal values he holds so dear.

“Let No one ignite needless yet inflammable conflict in the Niger Delta.” ( News Express)
