…Says former President Has Made Invaluable Contributions To Humanity

The immediate past Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has hailed former President, Olusegun Obasanjo who turned 85 on Saturday.

Dickson who described Obasanjo as a father, leader and mentor said that the former President has continued to make invaluable contributions to Nigerians and humanity, even after his active years in partisan politics.

He thanked the former President for his availability to render fatherly counsel when he was Governor of Bayelsa State for eight years which he described as an unforgettable, invaluable gift.

He prayed to the Almighty God to continue to grant him good health.

“My family and I hereby congratulate our respected father, leader and mentor, His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, (GCFR) former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the occasion of your 85th birthday.

“It is indeed a great thing that the Almighty God has kept you in a beautiful state of health to continue with your invaluable contributions to this nation and humanity even after your active days in partisan politics.

“That you are a blessing to this great country, Africa and indeed the world is an understatement. It is a fact that several generations of leaders have drawn from your wealth of experience and pool of wisdom including my humble self.

“I can readily recall as Governor for eight years in Bayelsa State, your accessibility and availability to render fatherly counsel, remain an unforgettable invaluable gift.”

“I join your countless admirers and members of your immediate family of which I consider my self to be one, to pray to God to continue to keep you in good health.” The statement read in part.
