Yesterday, the former Bayelsa State Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District in the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson was in Lagos after almost two years, solely for the purpose of commiserating with Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce and the entire Murray-Bruce family over the passing of their mother, Mrs. Margaret Murray-Bruce, whose sad event occurred on the 1st of February at the age of 95 and was interred on Thursday.

He said having lost a mother himself, he totally understands the feelings associated with accepting the finality of the departure of a parent, especially a mother.

He noted that Mama Margaret was a pillar in the family who lived a great life and raised successful children and grandchildren who have made Bayelsa and the Ijaw nation proud. She will be truly missed by all.

Senator Dickson said as it is his custom, he joined the entire Murray-Bruce family in Lagos to pray that God grants the soul of Mrs. Margaret Murray-Bruce eternal repose and the entire Murray-Bruce family the fortitude to bear this evidently irreparable loss.
