A suicide bomber has killed at least seven people in a transit camp in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) sources, the explosive was reportedly detonated by a female suicide bomber evacuated to the capital city alongside other displaced persons from Dikwa local council.
The incident happened when locals of the area trapped by Boko Haram insurgents before its liberation were being screened for onward movement to official makeshift camps in Maiduguri.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but recent attacks have been perpetrated by Boko Haram and the group remains the number one suspect.
Three officials of the Civilian Joint Task Force were also injured in the attack.
