Shaibu Performs Groundbreaking Ceremony for Auchi IDP Center

….Visits Ataru of Auchi, Salutes Monarch for His Personality

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu today performed the ground breaking ceremony of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Resettlement Center in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area.

The ground breaking was preceded by a courtesy visit of Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu accompanied by the Hon Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Hajia, Imaan Suleman Ibrahim and her entourage from Abuja to the Palace of the Otaru of Auchi Kingdom, Alhaji Hybred Aliru Momoh.

Speaking at the Ataru’s palace, the Deputy Governor registered his pleasure at the purpose at which they came visiting the palace.

“When this project came, we discussed with our team and we decided to make one or two amendments for which I must thank the Honourable Minister.”

“This is a megacity project, a community on its own that will have every amenities in it.”

“I know the Otaru is a progressive and forward driven personality and I want to thank him for the support. I want to thank all the chiefs and apologise for our coming late.”

“I also want to once again commiserate with the Ataru and the people of this Kingdom on the sad incident that happened recently and pray that this should be the last in our domain.”

“On behalf of the Governor and all of us, we want to thank the President for this mega project and we are as happy as his friend, the Otaru is.”

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by members of the Edo State Government cabinet who included Special Adviser on Special Duties, Jerry Gowon; Commissioner for Budget, Princess Otse Momoh-Omorogbe; Commissioner for Water Resources, Mose Aigbukor, Commissioner for Environment and Sustanability, Engr Lawani and Deputy Chief of Staff, office of the Deputy Governor, Jimoh Ijegbai Esq.
