My pitch with Ethiopian Airlines over the years has its rewards. I pay for economy seats and happily get upgrades to Business Class with my accumulated miles.

Only when the Ethiopians are not on the route I intend to fly will I pick another airline.

I am addicted to their hospitality and style, their African foods and wines.

Perhaps, only a well-organized International Carrier from Nigeria can take me from this awards winning and best airline in Africa.

The smiles from Ethiopian Airlines hostesses are natural, not like those of some colonial airlines who merely show you their teeth and their food have no respect for our culture despite the criminally high cost of their tickets.

Taste the Ethiopian delicacy called Entera in the business class, and you will instantly feel Africa in your taste.

Ethiopian red wines are the best, and I usually look forward to them whenever I am set to fly.

Whenever I embark on each leg of the 21 hours long flight to and from Abuja, through Addis Ababa and Dublin, and from and to Toronto, I disobey my doctor all through.

I eat everything and anything except cakes and sweets.

The aroma of the original coffee from the fields of Ethiopia tells a profound story of how Africa’s wealth and identity were stolen and dressed up in foreign gabs by some colonial businesses and investors without any decency to give credit to Africa as the source.
