…Says no PDP Person has been attacked

The Governor of Imo State, Chief Hope Uzodinma has said that opposition politicians are behind the escalating killings and arson in Imo State.

The Governor spoke while delivering an Easter message at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish, Ozuh Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area.

The Governor said this shortly after some Gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network went berserk at the popular Banana Junction, Nkem-Ito Junction and others.

The gunmen killed an unidentified person, inflicted gunshot injuries on several others and burnt Ukwu Aki Brothel, the popular Inland Guest House and others.

Uzodinma said that since the outlawed group commenced their mayhem against innocent people in the state, there has been no recorded incident of attack on any member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

According to him the Gunmen have killed innocent citizens, security personnel, and burnt down, private, public buildings and police stations.

He said, “Wicked politicians are sponsoring the killings in Orlu.
“Last week in Owerri the APC ward Chairman was killed in his house, the APC Secretary was killed in his house, the APC woman leader was killed in her house.
“I have noted that since the inception of this banditry, not one PDP man has died. Not one PDP man and his house have been attacked or burnt .

“These are the activities of wicked politicians who are unrepentant and have continued to sponsor the killings of their fellow brothers.

“They are challenging God because when you are after the creation of God, you are after God.

“My government is not weak, my government is only God-fearing. The only thing is that we hate to let blood.

“It is my hope that the people doing this will use the period of Easter and repent, if they don’t repent government will come all out.
