…As  Obidient  Movement  Launches ‘Game Changer  Toownhall’ APP

Valentine Ozigbo, the Special Adviser to the Labour Party presidential candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi, on Technology and Strategic Partnerships, has hailed the launch of the ‘Game Changer’ townhall application, a digital tool for mobilising ‘Obidient’ voters to the polls.

Director-General of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign, Dr Akintola Osuntokun

The Director-General of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign, Dr Akintola Osuntokun, who was the Chairman of the occasion held at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, spoke of the timeliness of the Gamechanger app, asserting that Nigerians must seize the opportunity and be part of history.

“Nigeria is at a critical juncture, and this election is a make-or-mar moment. We cannot drop the ball at this vital time in our country’s history. It is time for us to define our destiny and fulfil it,” Dr Osuntokun said.

While addressing the audience at the launch, Mr Ozigbo described the initiative as ‘one of many inventions that will see Nigerians unleash their under-appreciated talent for altruistic endeavours to foster national development.

According to the multiple award-winning global CEO, the Obidient movement has changed Nigeria’s political ecosystem, and only dynamism and innovation can further drive home the message that Nigerians are ready for a new dawn.

Ozigbo, a 2021 Anambra governorship candidate, explained that mobile applications like Game Changer were necessary to bring the message of Peter Obi’s presidency closer to his core constituency – the youth.

“Nigerian youths have given me a reason to strengthen my belief in Nigeria. Nigerian youths have chosen not to stay quiet. They have walked the talk and are why we have renewed hope in Peter Obi’s candidacy and the Nigeria of our dreams,” Ozigbo remarked.

“While we have received tremendous support from other groups and demographies, including elder statesmen, Nigerians in the diaspora, and captains of industries, Nigerian youths have shown dexterity, passion, substance, and commitment and are making sacrifices daily.

“I thank the Labour Party for proving to be a fertile ground for us to sow the seed of a brighter Nigeria. Typically, ideas like the Game Changer app would not see the light of day, but for the foresight of our party leaders, who understand that the future belongs to the youths and that future starts now.

“The spirit of the youth is embodied in His Excellency Peter Obi, who is selflessly working to release Nigeria from bondage. We are tired and want Nigeria to catch up with the rest of the world.” Ozigbo, the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, said.

“It is time for us to show that we are hardworking Nigerian youths. We are not lazy like some people termed us, which is why I am excited about the Game Changer app.”

“The name Game Changer is apt because Mr Peter Obi is a game changer. This campaign is divinely ordained because who would have thought that the Labour Party would produce a candidate that would be the front liner for Nigeria’s presidential election?” Ozigbo asked.

“The essence of the Gamechanger app is to sensitise Nigerians on what we have to do before, during, and after the elections to ensure that we achieve the desired result, which is a victory for His Excellency Peter Obi,” he continued.

“Obidients are everywhere, but we must organise ourselves and build structures that will enable us to succeed. That is what this app is going to do.

“So it is up to us to spread the word, make this project a success and make Nigeria a better place for us and the coming generation,” he concluded.
